Woodstock's Pizza

PIZZZZAAAAAAAAH!!!! YOSH! YOSH! WOODSTOCK'S PIZZA  Location  2nd & Wall St, Chico  Next to the Grana  Pizza  Pizza is definitely my favorite dish, especially when done right. Done my way, done nice and crispy with the right amount of cheese and baking of the dough. Chopped up tomatoes that are not very juicy in the end. Not too much pepperoni because then it lessens the flavor of the other ingredients mushed together. Toasty slices of jalapeno roasted on top of the cheese to add a kick to it with a spicy impact. Roasted and sliced green and red peppers to add the hint of sweetness to the pizza. Garlic spread to add the much-needed bitterness at the edge, the delightful thick crust rolled over to be filled with tomato sauce.  Or you could just go classic, with a nice cheesy, large, and crispy pepperoni pizza. Classic large pizzas are always satisfying as well. There is no need to overextend oneself when glory can arise in simplicity. A simple large peppero

nnnoooooooot JUST tacos? PIZZA!?!?!?!

not JUST tacos? PIZZA!?!?!?! Tacos  chicken  al pastor  lengua caveza carne asada  chorizo  Tacos. Yes, they're great. Awesome flavors. Wrapped in a tortilla with cilantro, chopped onions, and salsa poured on top. People love tacos, it's not just me. Painfully though, because of the small number of taco stations in Chico-and me not wanting to suffer eating through an ACA taco- I will be leaving the topic of Mexican foods. Instead, I will move onto my favorite food in the world. One that many restaurants in Chico specialize in. PIZZA.  PIZZA Recognized worldwide as the food that will most definitely give one a stroke if eaten too often, the only thing restraining me is my budget. Nothing more, nothing less than 15 dollars is required from Dominos for 2 mediums with 2 toppings each and a side of garlic bread. However, I don't the amazing luxury to walk around the corner from The Social, pick up a few boxes, and walk back. My legs will only carry me so fa

TACOS! TaCOs! TACOS! tACoS!

My friend sees it. Everyone sees it. It's known for its tacos, but tacos are not the only thing on the menu. Of course, Fiesta Tacos is widely known and has acquired the recognition of all Chico. But is it really good? Like its perfect competitive spot? Is it really worth it having to walk a mile for some tacos? M E N U MEAT! MEAT! MEAT!  eVeRRYbODY WAntS A tACO! But people forget that there are: tacos, tostadas, quesadillas, nachos, burrito, tortas. Of course, there are also options to the type of meat you wish for, be it: Carne Asada or al Pastor.  My Review Tired of walking up Nord Ave. I always glance at this particular taco truck, despite the fact that I had already past three other taco trucks. I glanced at it and it wasn't t

CRAIG FOOD!?!?!?! You walk in. You look left to the cashier and hopefully, it's not the old blonde lady who is too excited so early in the morning. The cashier will always have something to say, be it lethargic or ecstatic.  You walk a meter further in and glance at the menu slips. It's versatile to an extent. Most of the time the cafeteria is limited to less than 10 dishes, some of which are basically the same. It's a shame, having been fooled into the meal plan that would only offer me so little because it would "work" in my favor. A freshman year full of disappointment.  They don't even let us eat bacon in our custom made sandwiches.  Note: Incoming freshman, choose elsewhere to live other than the socialchico . Tacos Tonaya #2, BEST Mexican Food in Chico?

Image
Tacos Tonaya #2  Tacos Tonaya #2 sits on the corner of walnut and West 3rd, an area heavily populated by multiple student housing areas and attracts many students in during their late nights. Late Saturday night? Tacos Tonaya's open until 2 a.m. on Sunday early morning. Dependable for almost any time of day, well except on Sundays-off to church to praise the Lord and Savior and pray for good fortune. Walking home, I myself pass it every now and then, and it is heavily impacted by the student population arriving for the Mexican food. Always there for some good tacos. Menu As a Mexican restaurant, Tacos Tonaya #2 has quite the reputation to uphold for those further down in southern California. They have a variety to please the customers-Mexican specialty dishes, tacos, burritos, fries with the infamous carne asada . There is a lot to choose from. Rumors say that their California burrito is their most attractive dish.  Mexican Food Competition? Sure there might just b

Expectations for TACOS el Paisa

TACOS When Mexicans cross the borderline, they're not only bringing their hopes for a better life in the U.S., they are also dragging their cultures and traditions-aspects of their lives they will never give up. Tacos come with the Mexican culture, one cannot exist without the other.  Tacos El Paisa Tacos El Paisa  is a Mexican food truck that sits on Walnut Street across from the Burger King. From 10:30 in the morning 'til 8:00 in the late evening, the truck draws in college students from around the area with an amazing aroma.  Being an LA native and all, I hold high expectations over every order prepared. With small tortillas dipped in vegetable oil and a variety of meats cooking on the side, I am easily lured in. Be it Carne Asada, Al Pastor, Lengua, or Chorizo; the  menu  resonates with Mexican culture. Every taco resonates with Mexico's call for a bite, and only a good taquero can deliver an appreciated dish that won't receive the degrading insult of

IS IT ACTUALLY GOOD?  It's a good question to ask yourself before you step foot in any restaurant. You don't want to embarrass the cooking staff, or in this case, the barista. I take a glance inside and there's a room full of college students, a few hipsters, and even a few old people of Chico. It's a hot spot.  The Naked Lounge  has obviously lured in the student populace of Chico, possibly on a level even as great as Starbucks. From the outside, The Naked Lounge looks authentic and youthful, Starbucks looks so typical. MENU Not only coffee!! But There is also tea, espresso, beer, and food on the  menu . They're even smart in how they order their menu across the board with it separating the usually order drinks for newcomers and the unusual for those feeling extra risky. YELP'S REVIEW  Yelp  always has something to say, it's customer reviews on The Naked Lounge was a 4-star coffee shop with 685 reviews. Some like Isabella, from out of town,
